Keep original entries

The checked Verb list includes entries such as CetearylAlcohol andBehentrimoniumMethosulfate as distinct names. A token’s position or resemblance to another word should not become an invented percentage or safety rating.

Do not erase differences

Our comparison deliberately leaves aliases unmerged. A list saying Aqua/Water/Eau and a list saying Water will appear different unless the user has intentionally supplied matching text.

Read the actual label

FDA’s guide describes ingredient declaration rules and exceptions. This site does not infer exact concentration from rank or classify a complete formula from a few selected ingredients.

A practical distinction to keep

A comma within a botanical parenthesis should not split that ingredient into several independent entries. Our text tool keeps balanced-parenthesis content together, then compares case-insensitive names after trimming whitespace. It does not translate names, merge synonyms, estimate percentages or infer an ingredient’s function from its spelling.

Before you decide

  • Save exact product, use category and directions
  • Keep grams separate from volume units
  • Refresh selected price and unresolved label details
